Step Five: Discuss and Implement Advertising
This goes hand in hand with knowing your target audience, so we're in a sense continuing last week's subject here. Your advertising avenues can be quite unlimited depending on what kind of evergreens fundraiser your nonprofit organization would like to run. Bulletin boards, newsletter blurbs, local newspaper ads, email newsletter announcements, Sunday bulletin inserts, door to door catalog leave behinds, all of these are just the beginning of what you could do to get the word out about your Christmas wreath fundraiser. Discuss amongst your group leadership what you would like your advertising to say, how it should look and how you will execute it. You don't necessarily need to pay for advertising for it to be effective either. There may be many ways for you to spread the word about the Christmas wreath fundraiser within your nonprofit organization's resources at no cost to the group. Most importantly, be sure to include the essential information about the wreath fundraiser in your ads; who to contact, what the wreath fundraiser will benefit, where you will be selling, the dates of the wreath fundraiser, and of course that the evergreens fundraiser features high quality Christmas evergreens! Do you have any thoughts about what advertising works best for your sale? We'd love to hear about it!
